Reporter Gene Marks, who also owns a consulting firm geared toward helping small businesses grow, writes that even he was surprised when he discovered that his local gas station has a mobile-friendly website.

Well, we weren’t totally surprised. Mobile has emerged as a huge opportunity for businesses of all sizes, although less than 10% of small businesses own a mobile-friendly website. In fact, a recent Pew Study revealed that 55% of adults use their mobile phone to go online.

  1. I totally agree with this article. I have set up many mobile sites with Duda for small businesses yet it still amazes me that so many businesses don’t seem to understand the importance of having a mobile site. There not expensive and pretty darn easy to set up. Go figure!

  2. I just am tickled pink with mobile and the business it will get me. Many sites are not mobile yet and my SMS marketing business is primed to sell this mobilization to existing web sites thanks to duda. Local searches are mostIy mobile searches so to et the best results the local business needs a mobile site.
