Started in 2010 by American Express, local businesses everywhere now prep their storefronts for Small Business Saturday every Saturday after Thanksgiving. Small Business Saturday encourages shoppers to support small and local businesses during the holiday season.

You have three days to prepare for Small Business Saturday. Are you ready?

Business owners, this is your day to shine! Business News Daily released a few tips on how to prepare your business for the rush.

  • Be seen! List your business for free to promote exclusive Small Business Saturday offers thought the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
  • Attract more customers. Send on-the-go customers directly to the door of your business with mobile search advertising.
  • Prepare shop. Overstock your shelves and staff some seasonal workers.
